During our stay in the Dominican, we visited Christian's, and his wife Alexandra's, fruit and coffee farm.

They grew, dried and packaged their own coffee beans, as well as a bunch of other fruits usual to the region.

Alexandra is originally from Belgium and came to the Dominican with her brother some 8 years before. There she met Christian, whose family has been in the farm business for generations.

They're inspiring & hard-working people, and it's nice to be able to see a different side of life: one that is much simpler and, in some ways, much more satisfying.
